From Ashes to Beauty
Scripture: Acts 2:1-8,12-13
By: Rev. Lauretta Lundquist
Join us this Saturday as we meet in person and celebrate Pentecost with a Communion service.
The story of Pentecost is sometimes framed as a reversal of the Tower of Babel story in Genesis 11. One results in disharmony and lack of understanding; one results in unity and miraculous understanding. One story seems to view diversity as a curse; the other suggests that it is a gift. But what if the Pentecost story is a continuation, not a reversal, of God's previous work? What if both diversity and unity are gifts valued by God?
